A durable outdoor inspiration walkway honors the community’s gracious gifts.
For over a century, Assiniboine Park has served Winnipeg as a hub of year-round activity, a joyful gathering place, and a natural oasis that allows visitors to reconnect with nature and each other. The park is home to popular attractions, like the Assiniboine Park Zoo, Qualico Family Centre and Leo Mol Sculpture Garden. Winding trails, wide open green spaces and breathtaking gardens encourage people to get outdoors and be active. Educational programs, free outdoor concerts, public art galleries and a variety of events and activities provide amazing opportunities for learning, celebration and recreation. The park and its amenities are managed by the Assiniboine Park Conservancy, a not-for-profit charitable organization.
The Conservancy sought a way to recognize the community’s generosity and the gracious gifts the park has received as part of the ‘Imagine A Place’ $200m Campaign. BrookGlobal creatively developed an inspiration walkway to tell donors’ stories and honor them. This durable outdoor recognition system features backlighting for day and night legibility. Centrally located in a high-visibility area near the Conservatory building, the display is designed to withstand the rigors of Manitoba temperature extremes.
